Privacy Policy

Quran Discipline is a free Chrome extension that helps you stay disciplined by blocking distracting websites and reminding you of the Qur’an. We built it to work entirely on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what that means for your data.

In short: we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. We have no servers that hold your information, and there are no accounts.

We do not collect any personal information.

Everything you configure in the extension, such as your rules, blocked sites, Pomodoro settings, and preferences, is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s extension storage. This data stays on your device. It is never sent to us or to any third party, and we cannot see it.

Quran Discipline has no user accounts, no login, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.

To block websites, the extension needs to check the addresses of the sites you visit against the rules you created. This check happens entirely on your device. Your browsing history and the sites you visit are never recorded, transmitted, or shared.

Quran Foundation API: The extension may request Qur’an verses, translations, and audio recitations from the Quran Foundation API. These requests contain only the content being requested (for example, which verse to display) and no personal information or account data. Like any web request, your IP address may be visible to that service. Please refer to their privacy policy for details.

We do not use any other third-party services.

Because your data is stored only on your device, its security depends on your device and browser. Uninstalling the extension or clearing its data from your browser removes everything it has stored. Since we hold no copy, we cannot recover your settings if they are deleted.

Quran Discipline is completely free. There are no paid plans, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

We retain nothing, since we never receive your data. To delete everything the extension has stored, remove the extension or clear its data in your browser settings.

Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or export on your behalf. You have full control over your data at all times through your own browser.

Quran Discipline does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the extension ever changes in a way that affects your data, we will update this policy before releasing that change.
